After setting up your group blogs (in about 15 minutes or less) you may find yourself dazed and utterly confused as to how you can populate your group blog with publishable articles. Here are some of my suggestions for you:
1. New words you learned (either in class or during your day, preferably the former)
I told you one of my favorite words, "ensconce". Use it! Use it everyday and share it with your friends! We can help spread awareness and in popularizing this rare word and increase people's vocabularies at the same time.
Another suggestion is, use it as your title, and relate everyday mundane events to the title of your article--by doing that, you can even produce a nice short story.
So even now, recall what transpired today and bring out the Merriam-Webster in you.
2. Picturize!
There is no such word yet, but I got your attention right? Next suggestion for an interesting blog is to post a picture that is provocative--by that we mean something that will make the viewer want to comment.
However, please be careful of the type of picture you post. Do not post something controversial nor anything demeaning of a person (even if it is your own photo). Just post pictures that will tickle your viewers imagination.
3. Gossip is not the only thing worth sharing
There are so many things you can share to the world aside from spam letters and gossip-- Brain ticklers, trivia, quotations and even obscure artists' works!
I have discovered 90% of my playlist in blogs and I am still reading them to increase my music collection. So if you want to share your passion in this blog, go ahead and share them with us!
Remember what I told you in class, this is the place where you can express yourself creatively and actively about the things you've learned in class (among other things) and so with this blog, I hope you never run out of source material.
Go ahead and experiment! Explore!
Tschus!
